Beam restoration of commercial and heritage buildings

In addition to residential beam restoration, we also offer restoration services for commercial and heritage properties. Most of the work done in the commercial sector are oak 'A' frames or beams, we have also restored wooden mills, barns and ceilings, such as a prestigious Worcestershire hotel, The Chateau Impney . Using the latest techniques, our processes clean the stain and paint effectively, giving the wood a fine, professional finish. For heritage properties, we provide special care to avoid damage that could be already within the wood, such as rot, which in turn could be sealed under the paint. We also take extra care to protect older buildings and contain the dust and consequently, carry out a thorough clean up after the work has been completed. Where old ways of working meet new techniques and technologies, it is important to use traditional methods to allow the building to breathe. Materials such as lime wash or other porous compounds are sympathetic to the wood and structure. We can provide patch tests, site visits and approach each project individually and with respect.
